The forest is protected from the town itself: 9 quadrants, neighbor leaders and a calendar of activities per sector.
Why quadrants
The foundation''s reserve is minutes away from Villanueva. The parrots and macaws we release fly over the town, and their future depends on the forest as much as on the neighbors around them. That is why we divided the urban area into 9 quadrants: in each one we look for one or two leaders, build a calendar of visits and activities — starting with the quadrants closest to the reserve — and invite the people of each sector to get to know and join the foundation''s work.
